5 years later....

When I come back to this blog, I'm amazed each and every time about my pregnancy. First off, my last post was 3 years ago?! Don't hurt me. LOL SEcondly, we are now married and parents to a soon-to-be five year old little guy that is so totally awesome you can't help but love him.

It's hard to believe that when I started this blog I had just found out I was pregnant with my son, whom I will call Rockstar now. Fast forward almost 5 years later and here we are planning for a second child. My how times have changed...

K and I have been married for precisely 23 days and it has been wonderful. Although we started trying for a baby a month before the wedding, it has been something we have both wanted. I can't lie and say we weren't a little disappointed when Aunt Flo showed up this month but I get it. You can't rush or predict perfection so you let it go at its own pace.

True be told, this is the first month of actual trying and we'll see what happens. I've rejoined Mothering.com. I had such a great support system there with my last pregnancy and I'm looking forward to connecting with other mamas during this next one (see, I'm claiming it).

God has shown me such favor in life and will continue to do so.

Almost 2 years old

My baby will be 2 years old next week! *insert tears* I can't believe it. He has grown up so fast but I'm glad I've been capturing all this the entire time. He is now talking up a storm and head over hells in love with his Pa-Pa (grandpa), Mi-Mi (grandma), Dada (his dad), and Elmo. LOL It tickles me when he wakes up every morning and says "Hi Mommy", lies back down and goes to sleep. LOL

We're still working on the potty training thing. I'm trying not to get frustrated about it though. My son is definitely a free spirit who likes to do things in his own time so I'm not going to push him. I'm just going to love him, kiss him and encourage him like I always do. The theme for his birthday this year will be Elmo. I have been all over the city tracking down Elmo stuff and found it all at Party City. Now that I bought a house I am going to have the party in my garage with family and friends. I know it will be hot as the devil out there but the kids are going to have a blast with the moonwalk.
